She reappeared for one bulletin for some strange reason, and hasn't been seen since!
She has asked for and got 6 months off. I believe ITN agreed to this extended leave due to the tragic circumstances of her last pregnancy. I wouldn't have thought she'd be back properly until after 6 months.
I'm on the west coast of the US right now, and have been watching the war on CNN. Nearly fell out of my chair last night when Larry King announced he was about to interview Trevor McDonald - wasnt really expecting that. Nor was Trevor by the look of it - technical faults meant that the interview never been happened. All this pooling stuff is weird and seeing random presenters/reporters on random networks is even stranger. CNN have shown reports from Ben Brown and Clive Myrie lately and is strange not to here them sign off with "BBC News". I think Larry King also interviewed Jon Sopel when Terry Lloyd died. Crazy.
There was a good bit on the NC last night when John Suchet was talking to the APTN cameraman who had shot the footage of Baghdad airport - he used to be an ITN cameraman and Suchet went on and on about how he was a former ITN colleague - he must have mentioned ITN about 10 times - most unusual on the ITV NC
