By the way, at some stage last night they played the old 'ITN Weather' sting instead of the 'ITV Weather' sting!

They are getting old. ITN do hurry up with the relaunch.

That was good just then. The Markets failed, but Alastair Stewart ad-libbed the markets info from memory!

I bet some presenters couldn't do that!

Its a pitty ITN can't keep him, after all if LNN can afford him why not ITN!

Katie Derham sounds really rough at the moment and was coughing her way through the 4pm hour she did on the News Channel

The problem is, if she took a few days off who would replace her, as she's the only ITV News on ITV1 female presenter who is currently working from London!

Well where's Mary got to ? I thought she'd got back from maternity.

She reappeared for one bulletin for some strange reason, and hasn't been seen since!

How many jackets has Mark Austin taken with him? Every time I see him, he's wearing his light brown jacket and has been for the past 2 weeks now without changing it nearly every bulletin!

But did he take his Persil with him???

I've not actually seen him in a jacket, and I imagine all journalists travelling with the army have been rationed in how much they can take.

Talking about Mark Austin, I said a few weeks ago this war would really put him on the map as an excellent newsreader and I think it has done. He is far more comfortable on location than in the studio.

LBC's John Nicolson is back on the News Channel tonight.

Why is John Suchet doing the 5.00 to 6 and 7-8 shifts tonight and the 11.25 ITV1 bulletin as well?! Can't they just get one presenter (i.e. Carol Barnes) to work 7-9?
