The (old) ITV News Thread

It did sound pre-recorded...especially when he said "I'll do that one more time", as if the version we heard wasn't even the right one!

There was a similar dodgy intro tonight on the ITV News at Ten

It seems to me that they are working with limited titles for example it seems they can't alter the spacing of the bongs and the soundbites have to be really short

ITV will now have to re-edit their promos for ITV programmes!!

The ITV News website hasn't updated programme listings for months. John Suchet is still listed as Lunchtime News host, while Katie Derham is down as the Weekend News host.

I guess Mary Nightingale will front the Weekend Bulletins throughout the conflict. ITV have no regular Weekend presenter now, and with John Suchet doing News at Nine/Ten every night, and all three official weekend news hosts (James Mates, Andrea Catherwood and Bill Neely) in the gulf, she is the only real option.

Digital Spy reports that the ITV Evening News is being extended to run from 6-7pm, with just a 10-minute segment for Regional News.

Is it just me or does the word "overkill" come to mind?

Tonights sschedule on ITV1 is now as follows:

9:00pm ITV News
9:30pm At Home with the Braithwaites - was 9:00pm
10:30pm Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned
11:00pm ITV News
11:15pm Champions' League - was 11:00pm
12:30-6:00am ITV News

All programmes throughout the night will no longer be broadcast.

Are daytime ITV News bulletins being extended at all?

Also the split screen graphics just on the ITV News graphic still had the spinning globe but was a light blue and the colours sort of swished. Is this a clue to the new programme at 9?
