Yes Indeed, and then repeated throughout the night, with the rest of the hour also recorded and then replayed. How cheap and nasty. WHY DO THEY DO IT!!! IT DRIVES ME MAD

Sorry, I meant to say that the Weekend News bulletins are often simulcasted on the ITV News Channel.

Until now ALL the ITV News bulletins on ITV1 have generally been simulcast on the News Channel.
But the point is that the weekend schedule for the NC on the website doesn't show the simulcasts, whereas it has done so far for weekdays.
Can anyone confirm that the simulcasts have indeed ended as of today (possibly for the duration of the war)?

Fiona was Alistair Stewart's co-presenter on London Tonight when it first launched

Fiona Foster *was* London Tonight, well half of it at least, for its first five years and will be very familiar to Londoners over the age of about 16. Back then LT seldom deviated from Alastair, Fiona, Anna-Maria [Fridays] and Fiona Farrell on the travel.
She also works on Trevor McDonald's Tonight programme, and is sometimes on GMTV to talk about matters related to the programme.

Where's this Fiona Foster one come from anyway?
I haven't seen her presenting on the channel, and she seems to have bypassed this and gone straight on ITV1

Did anyone notice the cock-up on the ITV NC just fifteen minutes ago? Leyla Daybelge was presenting. Apparently, the autocue failed, and she didn't speak throughout the headlines at 10:34! When she appeared, she was reading from the script on her desk!
PS Just caught Fiona on the Weekend News tonight

tsk !!! Why have they brought in Fiona Foster, when Leyla was also on duty on the News Channel. Leyla is fabulous on ITV1.

Oh dear its all gone pair shaped on the ITV News Channel
Leyla Daybelge introduced the ITV National Weather, and the sting played twice before freezing
Then, she tried to wrap the bulletin up, but the music started and stopped and the 'coming up' sequence didn't work properly!
Then she said goodbye and stayed on screen for about 5 secs too long!

Yep - I remember all that. When she left London Tonight, she went to work as a presenter on CNN in Atlanta. She presented the coverage of the death of Princess Diana on CNN US and CNNI.
I agree that it's a bit strange that she went straight to the ITV1 news, though! Perhaps ITV have signed her as a more 'heavyweight' female presenter to rival Fiona Bruce. But hadn't heard anything about that.
