What do you mean, his name is Nick Owen!

What should it say "Nick Owen (The one who works for us, not the BBC)"

In my mind:

Nicholas Owen: ITV News
Nick Owen: Mids today, ex TVAM and Anne & Nick.

Simple enough.

Well he is introduced as Nicholas Owen at the start of the bulletin.

Yeah, I've always thought of him as Nicholas Owen, although I'm sure I've heard him referred to on air as Nick from time to time.

I guess it's a bit like Nicholas Witchell (who's normally referred to as Nick during lives).

Excuse my ignorance, but I always expected "Leyla Daybelge" to be pronounced "Ley-la Day-bellj" but the announcers and voice overs are introducing her as "Ley-lo Dah-Bell-Jee" which I thought was worth mentioning. As she usually presents on the news channel, she rarely gets her voice announced.

The intro to the programme said it right, the continuity announcer said it wrong!

Her name is pronounced "Lay-la Day-bel-gee", but on Sunday's Early Evening News the continuity announcer said "Ley-la Daibel-geh"¬

When she presented the news with Felicity Barr once (video on the Continuity Booth) the continuity announcer said it right.
