For Months now we have all been discussing the apparent imminent change of ITV News, how we think it should look plus many other topics.

What I want to know is, when do we expect to see these changes.?.

The ITV News relaunch is scheduled for Monday 26th January.

Is this a relaunch for both the News Channel and the ITV1 bulletins ? Are they going to operate the same studio sharing arrangement as present ? And any clues as to what it looks like ?

Also, any news on the new name for the 10.30pm bulletin ?

So many questions Laughing

Sorry if this has been mentioned before on this thread, but ive noticed on Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th the lunchtime news has been scheduled for 12.10pm with Des and Mel at 12.30pm. Do you think this indicates a change of time for the news to 12noon from Mon 5th January, seen as they have moved Des and Mel to 12.30pm.

Anyone seen schedules yet for 5/1/04

No, it just means that the schedules have been messed about with because of the holiday period.

I thought that might be the case, just a bit strange why they would move Des and Mel the 2nd week of the holidays when its on at 1pm the first week. Looking at the schedule they have brought everything forward 1/2 hr with the regional news at 2.30pm, probabaly so they can fit in films etc.

On the subject of who will read ITV News on Christmas Day I guess it wont be one of the main anchors like Trevor, Katie, Mark or Mary - most probabaly Ferlicity Barr, Andrea Catherwood, Lauren Taylor or Shulie Gouche (sorry I dont know how to spell her name)

Leyla Daybelge, Felicity Barr, Andrea Catherwood or Shiulie Ghosh sounds most probable. Can anyone remember who it was last year? It was Leyla or Shiulie I think.

This week, The ITV Morning goes becomes just a 5 minute Headline summary, Is this still presented by the overnight reader, and how do they fill the 6am-7am News Channel slot when this happens?

About the changes planned, are we seeing new graphics, music, studio or all of the output?
Will there also be any presenter changes or will they all stay as they are? This includes the News Channel, is this when they will start inplementing more dual anchored bulletins?

I find it a bit daft to have a five minute summary, on christmas day and boxing day i'd expect it but not on the other days.
If they can do an half hour broadcast on a sunday and bank/hol mond why not this week.

With regards to presenters I think they may poach some male presenters from either sky or bbc or they'll use some of the leftovers from LNN

I seem to remember the overnight bulletins being repeated at 6am last year, with Jemma Woodman. Owen Thomas usually gets a break from overnights over the festive period. I can also see the Christmas ITV1 bulletins being presented by Shulie again this year.

There was an article that said the NC were to finally introduce double-headed bulletins in this thread somewhere - i can see them poaching somebody off a rival, after all, they did do that for the ITNNC with Harvey and Daybelge.
