You really require an answer for that? Shocked

I didnt tune into ITVNC at 8pm but the odds are stacked in favour of it being a simu-cast with ITV1.

No doubt about it!

Well it wasn't exactly a busy news night and Friday nights won't get many viewers for any news channel so showing the final yet again isn't really a problem.

As is said, ITV NC do very well at 'Breaking News for Britain' but tonight it would just have been Sasha Herriman or someone reading the same stories over and over again.

They do put a news summary in at half time though for the people who are desperate for the latest news

Anyway, according to itv.com, its Lloyd Bracey reading Monday night's overnight news. Is Owen Thomas having a week off..?

Well what's the point of that then?

I can understand (just) a repeat of the match on the NC after the ITV1 doc, but couldn't they have had a normal news programme 8-8.30?

And how do they hope to build audience for programmes like ITV News Network Sport (or whatever it's actually called on a Friday) if they keep chopping and changing?

It was a simulcast although itv1 was around 30 seconds behind the news channel. I agreed with showing the docu on the nc but not the match they should have played it over night instead of over using the late itv bulletin i get sick of seeing katie derham all the time.

I like the way the ITV Evening News has used Steve Clark - the husband of Sally Clark, the mother who was cleared of killing her babies - as a reporter on mothers and cot death!

They have done that before on a report on miscarriages, they used Anne Diamond to do the report.

Yes, sorry you're right, it was Cot Death, it was during the Trupti Patel case.
