The ITV News at Ten is at 10.00 meaning Lloyd Bracey doesn't start until 11.00pm

Can someone explain something to me please as I only get to see tiny bits of the ITV NC.

If they NC is coming from the main ITV set, which I understand it is, except for prep and presentation of main ITV1 programmes, what does the set for the NC look like for those 15 mins? IF the set looks the same is it Chromokey? If it's different can someone capture it please?

Thanks,

The second studio is the Virtual Reality studio and it right next to Studio 1. It is 'virtual' and you never see the desk. You can clearly tell when a bulletin is coming from this set, the lighting is completely different.

And Felictiy Barr's (sp?) hair looks a lot thinner, whilst she looks a lot fatter!

It is the same studio as used for the virtual reality set-ups, although for the NC segments it only a single camera straight chroma key of the usual pres/window shot... the VR system is not used and the key/lighting isn't always perfect.

Talking about a shortage of female presenters at ITN.

Won't Mary Nightingale be back soon?

And then what about Ros Childs is she still at ITN?

By the way, maybe the thread title could be changed to something like "The ITV News thread"??

Isn't she at BBC North East and Cumbria? Or she was. Anne and David Cass, as I remember, were good presenters.

I wonder how Kirsty Young is getting on on 5 News, its a pitty she had to leave ITV News

I suppose its a toss up between presenting the news in a style you like, or presenting to the most viewers, and Kirsty chose the former.

Yes they were! All they need now is to bring back the wonderful Sue Carpenter, Fiona Armstrong, Julia Sommerville and Brenda Rowe.
