I like the idea of a News at Ten Thirty programme. I think it would be much better to have it going out five nights a week. Though it would also be nice if there were a presenter who could bring some familiarity with it, by presenting five days a week. I know Trevor wouldn't do this, so who would? They could go with a dual anchored programme, though I doubt it. Is John next in line or is he too considering retiring, or would ITV prefer someone else, either at ITV News or at another place? It would be nice if they added a bit more depth and analysis.

I liked the short 10.30pm update last night. It was nice seeing Katie Derham on the edge of the desk!

Katie always looks nice Wink

I think Trevor's likely to launch it, and then when it's 'settled' somebody'll get the job full-time

Yes you're probably right, advertising the programme as being with 'Sir Trevor McDonald - Number One news anchor" is better at attracting viewers.

Mary Nightingale was live from JFK airport in tonight's News at Ten. She will be travelling back on Concorde tomorrow and be presenting the Early Evening News live from Heathrow.

Yet another ITV Evening News broadcast outside the studio, I like it like that usually. I had wondered why it was Andrea Catherwood & Nicholas Owen today.

What exactly will they have to say? I know Sasha is a singer in her spare time but what does her husband do?

He's a comedian apparently.

The Lunchtime News was great today, to show us what live on a concorde plane is like Felicity Barr was on one having a live look around, though she missed the part of the plane she was aiming for and had to be promted by one of her team to hurry backwards!
Felicity told us on the plane there were caviar and plastic spoons, and upon returning to the studio Nicholas Owen said "Caviar and plastic spoons? That sounds like life here at ITN!"

It was great to see Felicity reporting again! Makes a nice change to being in the studio all the time.

Typical, I missed it whilst listening to LBC! At least they'll have coverage on the Evening News

Why after 100+ pages of this thread titled, "itv news changes", have there still been no changes to itv news apart from introduction of yellow rather than red!

When do you itv-watchers expect real changes?
