They seem to be going through a lot of presenters today. I wonder why they got both Katie and Felicity in just to do one bulletin and no shifts on the News Channel, and then Andrea has appeared but only for a few hours.

Presume she did it because it wasn't worth interrupting ITV NC's coverage to allow ITV1 to opt-in briefly, so the CSO set was used instead. Perhaps she was still in to prepare something for the Evening News tommorow or something.
BBC1 slipped in a news report just before Monarch of the Glen, replacing the junction that would have been their otherwise.

Yes, I was thinking that. Usually Katie & Felicity both do shifts on the NC, I thought the only ITV1 anchor that didn’t was Trevor McDonald. I just don’t see what kept Katie there when Andrea was the ITV1 newsreader on that shift.
Because during Heartbeat Andrea Catherwood is on the ITV News Channel and thus is unable to do an ITV one update, and as Katie's bulletin is at 6 then she is probably kept until 9.
So today we've got Katie Derham and Felicity Barr doing just 20 mins on air, Andrea Catherwood doing an hour and then 5 mins later on, Rachel McTavish, John Draper, Heather McCarthy, Jonathan Morrell and Steve Scott on the News Channel, all in one day!
Has anyone noticed that the audio on the ITV news Summary on ITV1 and also throughout on the ITV News Channel has been of very poor quality?
It appears as if they have got a dodgy microphone on the presenters and is causing interference!
PS The 9pm rugby coverage which was promoted on ITV1 news bulletins was eventually broadcast at 10pm due to the Tony Blair 'palputations' saga.
For some reason ITV News Channel were showing the rugby coverage in 14 x 9 but not like the weather where they move the picture up the screen to allow the news ticker to flow without clashing with any weather graphics!

Although they were advertising it as being on at 10pm throughout the day on the News Channel, it was originally so they could provide the live David Blaine coverage, but this was then dropped in favour of Blair's Health.
What have been the regular presenting patterns on the ITV News since the launch of this current look....
On the Lunchtime News it originally started off as John Suchet and Julia Somerville, then it became John Suchet and Kirsty Young, can anyone put a date to that change? then didn't it become John Suchet on his own then? and now it's Nicholas Owen on his own, when did he start doing this?
On the Evening News it was originally Trevor McDonald, then when it went double headed wasn't Dermot Murnaghan and Kirsty Young originally? then Katie Derham and then Mary Nightingale or was it the other way round?
