Disney Channel had a hand in Microsoap which was quite similar to the Wild House.

Yep, Disney had a hand in Microsoap, which was the one with the boy that played James in James and the Giant Peach the film (well the live action part, and the voice for the rest). Microsoap was around the same time as The Wild House too.

That was it, Microsoap.

While we're talking about long lost 90's kids shows, anyone else remember Julia Jekyll and Harriet Hyde?

Not sure of the name but while were on the subject of trying to place names to programmes:

Does anyone know the name of the CITV programme with a talking box, and no I wasn't drunk Laughing

Allsorts?

Don't think it would have been Allsorts, no, although I don't remember the earlier ones with a larger cast well at all. I nearly said "Playbox", but that was puppets in a box, not a talking box.

Incidentally, there was a CITV show from the late-1980s-ish, when I were but a young lad, and all I can remember about it was that it was live action, and there was a man in it who always forgot his bicycle clips. Anyone remember that, preferably with a name attached? Smile

That's the one:

Thanks Very Happy

EDIT: and here's the title sequence, they don't make them like that now Laughing

Any ideas?

The Wild house? Don't know how many years ago you were talking about, but this had that kind of format, may even had the rest of the family talking to camera, but sure it was mainly the teenage girl.

I've just had a look on Wikipedia and the description fits what I'm thinking. Thanks, Ashley. The only footage I found was about 3 seconds worth of a trailer on Youtube - didn't really show much.

I too remember that, I wouldn't have done, but its in the back of my head, wow, the memories, and I know what you mean about feeling old after seeing that.

From memory didn't ITV used to show their tots programmes at 12.30 before the news at one? And then have the main CITV start at 3.50, until the early 90's when they moved it all to the afternoon?

I remember all of the above, but again it's the case that some of those were simply at the back of my mind for some time, and it wasn't until recently when I was reminded of it, did it start to fall into place.

When you've been around for a couple of decades, you start 'compressing' your earlier years down and lose track of past time - I have to agree, it's only when you see video of these old programmes, that you really get a sense of how long you've been around - remarkable stuff!

Also Rod, Jane and Freddy (also from Rainbow) had their own mock stage show in that time slot. Clips from that are on YouTube somewhere.

Classic days, long forgotten.

Anyone help me out with this one?

Aired on Channel 4 (I think) on afternoons, and was about a talking antique rocking chair.

Can't remember the name of it, anyone?
