Old Children's ITV programme

Okay - there was a kids CITV show back in the day - can anybody remember it or what it was called.

As I remember, it was a lighthearted northern drama about a step-family and how they all got along. The only characters I can remember were two of the kids - one was a boy of 17/18 with a ponytail who drove a white van and the other was a nerdy boy of about 13/14 with curly hair and glasses called Graham.

This must have been aired in the early-mid 90s.

Allsorts?

Don't think it would have been Allsorts, no, although I don't remember the earlier ones with a larger cast well at all. I nearly said "Playbox", but that was puppets in a box, not a talking box.

Incidentally, there was a CITV show from the late-1980s-ish, when I were but a young lad, and all I can remember about it was that it was live action, and there was a man in it who always forgot his bicycle clips. Anyone remember that, preferably with a name attached?

On the subject of programme names, does anyone know the name of this CBBC show? I vaguely remember it when I was younger, and all I can remember was that it was a (possibly) teenage girl who often talked directly to camera about a dysfunctional family. As I say, it's a very blurred image I have of it, but it's a show I can't remember the name of and it's been bugging me for quite some time.

Any ideas?

The Wild house? Don't know how many years ago you were talking about, but this had that kind of format, may even had the rest of the family talking to camera, but sure it was mainly the teenage girl.

Didn't The Disney Channel (UK) have something to do with that one?

Disney Channel had a hand in Microsoap which was quite similar to the Wild House.

Yep, Disney had a hand in Microsoap, which was the one with the boy that played James in James and the Giant Peach the film (well the live action part, and the voice for the rest). Microsoap was around the same time as The Wild House too.
