I was flicking through the channels this morning at 6.15am and stumbled across Family Catchphrase, being shown on Challenge+1, I remember this from the early Challenge TV days, it has Andrew O'Connor as presenter in the style of the TVS version. But the endcap was the original Action Time one that Andrew posted, albeit it was animated and had the tagline of 'An Action Time Production for The Family Channel'

Hopefully a step closer...?

Family Catchphrase actually started life on Challenge's first incarnation as a channel - The Family Channel - which mainly showed TVS shows and own produced programmes based upon the TVS library of shows - they also showed shows that were actually on The Family Channel in the US as well.

That fiery one, does anybody remember seeing an animated version of that endcap? I remember seeing it at the end of some short programmes on Channel 4 about 10-11 years ago.

They did back in the days before Saban got hold of the TVS archive which now appears to be unowned at all.

There's nothing that isn't owned by someone. Saban were bought by Disney, so if they owned the TVS programme archive then Disney will own it now - whether they know that they own it or where it is, is anothe rmatter!

ISTR on another forum someone asking Disney about the archive and they had no idea about it at all. Although with such a huge company it is not going to be easy to find out what they own the rights to, let alone finding the right person to talk to.
