I think they've made the same mistake that some of Chris Evans' recent productions have in that they were given a programme and then had to think up ideas to fill it. It should be a programme built round an idea, not the other way round.
It wasn't great, but ok in a
fills-45 minutes-of-a-Sunday-night-and-better-than most-other-Sunday-night-efforts
sort of way
It could have been a lot worse, and it's watchable in a kind of there's-usually-nothing-on-on-Sundays-anyway way, but there was nothing new in it at all, felt very TFI, not helped by the self-indulgent references and even clips of said show.
Actually quite enjoyed it ...................nice double bill for ITV1- Celebrity followed by OFI.......but I realise Chris Evans bashing seems to be a forum sport judging by the condemnation before the show was even broadcast!
Interesting show. Some very strong TFI Friday references, like the 'bang the gong' type feature. Some awkard pauses - e.g. the 'mine or not mine' seemed a bit rushed to me.
Anyway, not a bad programme to fill a late Sunday slot - so long as ITV don't move it to primetime just yet.
