It's about time Scotland had a thread about it.

Starting with Reporting Scotland.

Is it me or is Reporting Scotland getting as bad as News 24. I have to say at lunchtime it's probably more noticeable. Jane Hill just handed over to the regions. We got the RP Sting, then rather poorly the Headline bed was faded in and sounded awful. We then got the titles. And presented with those god awful graphics. (Which today the astons seem to be more transparent than normal)

Is it not about time those at BBC Scotland did some spring cleaning, even the proper studio needs a clean and some paint.

What does everyone think?

We shall see, even if it was just Big Brother posting on his own, South Today style.

The early evening edition of Reporting Scotland is terrible as well. The handover between the newsreader and sports presenter is terrible, even if an attempt at a joke is made it’s barely recognised. In my opinion the 6.30 was far better with one presenter, it seemed a little sharper then, now it’s just dull and boring.

The news desk in the newsroom is excessively used and threes not one hint of branding anywhere to be seen.

The presenter’s need a bit of life brought back to them also, most of them have been there for years and it just adds to the tired format of the programme.

I think BBC Scotland are trying to hold off until they move from Queen Margaret Drive, but really the current studio and presentation need to at least be freshened up.

Oh shush you. You've made a valid contribution yet.

If BBC Scotland are holding off then it better be something big they do when they move.

When are they moving anyway? Is the building ready/started???

RPS is much more professional than Border TV's Lookaround .The format set and music are just awful and so are the presenters those chairs are just the pits . Border need a complete overhaul smaller news bulletins are crap too as are the presenters Susannah , Heather, and John .

Of course you know what i'm going to say now we should get Scotland Today NOT lookaround .

The only thing i ever liked about Border was Maggie Mash .

Well from what I've seen your better off without it.

Well that may be so BB.

But most people who live in South Scotland do NOT like Border TV as it has very little on offer for Scottish viewers .Even the Border Scotland optout is very poor . So STV would be most welcome down here it's very political .

Its scheduled for completion late next year, so we could be looking at a whole new rebrand at the end of 2004/start 2005. Still no excuse for not doing anything in the mean time, that set desperately needs a refresh.
