Thankfully the content is the same - but I don't like either the titles or the set. The old dark purples were brilliant. This is just so ... so ... white!

Also, I should add the footage of the tsanami at the top of the programme was frightning - the first I've seen of the 20ft wave hitting. Amazingly the strongest language was 'Jesus Christ'. Think I'd have said worse than that!!!

That font's going to take a bit of getting used to on the news - somehow it seems too E4 or Newsround to me...
From the idents I have seen, I think I'm going to grow to love this new look - I do like the subtlety of formation, and I have noticed the music changing when it forms for that split second. As much as the council block one is horrible , I do rather like it, with all the satellite dishes on the 4 blocks! And I did like the surrealness of the flaming hay bales in the fields ident! Not so sure about the road signs one.
For all the people who are saying that the idents aren't clever - if you take the time to look at them, you'll see that they're actually very clever - the way the power lines run onto the floating peices of the 4 logo in the pylon ident, for example. I like the look of the UFO ident from those stills, too - looks very nice. These do seem very similar to the new five idents - quite a coincidence really - but I think they work well for both. I've been waiting for idents like this for years, and then two sets come along at once!

From what I have seen on screen and online, I think Channel 4 have done a great job with its idents and logo etc. All the idents are 'weird' but in a strange way they are pretty cool. Loving the ident of the UFO - a very cleaver idea

Excellent idents though. The only one I think is weak out of the ones I've seen is the pylons one. The rest are great - and I love the way they say Four or something else emphasised when the logo forms.
