Mark Ryse, by all accounts, one of MANY new auctioneers lately. Which begs the question - why have Bid-Up got auctioneers coming out of their ears lately... no one else has left, to my knowledge.

A few auctioneers have left in recent times. Slug lips of course defected to auction-world.tv (TRAITOR!!) and I believe a couple also moved over to price-drop.tv. And, Mark Edo mysteriously "disappeared" so that left them about 4 auctioneers down - possibly more if I have forgotten anyone...just seems like they have loads of new people when its not neccessary.

One thing though, many of the new auctioneers and being put in daytime (fine) but that means some of the previous (not so good!) auctioneers are getting the primetime slots. I'm looking in Mike Mason's direction in particular. If I hear anymore about his red hot mommas, I may scream. I'm sure SE will agree! Laughing Just how can you compare with the likes of Peter Simon, Andy Hodgson, Elisa Portelli ? You can't.

Anyway, love the new Christmas set - suitably OTT. I hope we get some speed auctions in the run up to the festive season...and you'd have thought someone would stick some jingle bells over the auction music...maybe later... Wink

I do hope speed auctions can return...even with some faster or higer-pitched music Smile

Oh god, yeh, Mike Mason and his "give it to me you red hot mommas" does my head in. That along with his ridiculous sayings such as "You want me bad" and his stupid Joker-esque grin makes me simply want to hurl.

I'm not keen on that older woman whose recently started, she's like Linda Bellingham, but I've really warmed to Elisa, think she's fab. But the top 2 remain Andy Hodgson and without any shadow of a doubt, Peter Simon. Peter is amazing, he turns every auction into a one man comedy performance. Absolute class especially if paired up with the delectable Jenoir.

*looks nervously around him and says*

"Sexy piece of hot totty!"

*runs far, far away...*

Spikey Mikey is tops - if only for sheer enthusiasm. He's kind of the antithesis to Andy Hodgson, the Alan Partridge of auctioneers.

Peter Simon still rules, though Twisted Evil

Yup, I have to commend Mike for managing to keep a consistently high level of enthusiasm.
And - the latest word is that fellow Scot Duncan Pow is jumping off - but no, he's not being regulated to the badly decorated world of squeaky plungers (ie. price-drop.tv) but seems to be leaving the sit-up, stand-up crew.
Perhaps he will be returning to professional football?
Better make sure his leg is all fixed up then...

Oh I must say that is a shame - Duncan Pow is another one of my favourites. He really came into his own. Recent viewings of him and John Hammond have been compulsive.
