I believe that's what Global do with some of their Heart and/or Capital licences that have more news requirements, they air a bulletin at 1845, right on the edge of peak drive time when everyone has already got home and switched off.
Of course BBC local radio tends to do its religious output at the crack of dawn on Sunday morning, as did GMTV for that matter.

So in that context this content could play at 6am.

It 6am and 18.45, and most of the times its 8mins long to cover up the missing 2min per hour over the course of the day.
This only applies to the EX Real radio stations, which used to have 2-3mins new update each hour. Then Heart took them over make them crap and ofcom were like where are the missing hours.

"What about trying to force the BBC in to turning The Chris Evans Breakfast Show in a version of 'Today', only with a bit more music?
"Booom. Type that up, and send it to Ofcom"
Joking aside, I do recall during the 80s, and Wogan's tenure there was 6 or 7 (perhaps longer ?) minute bulletin on Radio 2 at 08:00hrs. It was carried by some BBC LRs too, so Wogan couldn't do his 'pip crashing' skit !

Heart Cornwall also has extended news bulletins as they comply with the licence previously held by Atlantic FM.

Is there any additional requirements for regional news, such as adding a second bulletin on Saturday? BBC regional news in London on that day is woeful compared to ITV.

You may be thinking of Bauer's Gem 106 in Nottingham.

Why would the BBC want commercial radio to replicate what BBC Local Radio is already doing and lose them one of their key USPs?
If I were the BBC, I'd be asking Ofcom to force local commercial radio stations to provide a minimum of 5 mins of local news at the top of every hour, peak time, weekdays.

Lets not forget the mess the BBC ended up in during the early 90s with Radio 1.....

If peak is between 6pm-11pm, then BBC Two's latest peak time import is 'Snowfall', a drama about cocaine in the 1980's. Produced by Fox (FX Productions). It airs at 10pm on a Sunday.
I'm confused what programmes in peak times are imports? It's like saying to a non smoker no smoking here. I think the last import on BBC one was late nights flims, while BBC two was that O. J. Simpson drama.
