With regards to the bulletin, what on earth is "Teletext Page 301 11/10/2009 ITV1 Generally Accepted
Standards, one complaint"? Somebody complaining about the news service on Teletext? Won't be a problem after next month, will it?

Considering that's just the headlines, god knows!

An obese Ofcom bulletin issue 146:
http://www.ofcom.org.uk/tv/obb/prog_cb/obb146/Issue146.pdf

Copious issues about sponsorship bumpers, the so-called "gender bending" song on The X Factor, and treatment of the children on Britain's Got Talent.

Elsewhere:

Nudity on Brainiac.
Dangerous Behaviour on You've Been Framed.
"only" 29 complaints about Nick Griffin on Question Time?
Payment of crime on Alan Titchmarsh's show.
Nudity on Top Gear.
Also bucketloads of complaints about the X Factor.

some people, would complane about too much food on a cookery programme

People were complaining on Points of View last week as there was too much of the wrong type of food being cooked on BBC Shows... i.e. if you were a vegetarian, you wasn't being catered for.

Poor old Channel - having to do a lot of Ofcom fending this time around!

Is there any specific reason that many of ITV's programmes are listed as 'being compiled by Channel TV' on behalf of the network?

Because there are only two companies that do compliance for ITV - the other being ITV Broadcasting. It's got to be one of the two. And as said, because Channel is the smaller of the two, the maximum fine is a lot less. See this Grauniad article.

Not only are the fines lower for Channel TV as it's based on a percentage of ad revenue but also they make money from doing the compliance.

I see Soccer AM is now broadcast with 'a short time delay to the transmission'. Ofcom are slowly ruining television.

People who need to get a life? I mean honestly, more people complained about X Factor than Question Time (which I thought QT was brilliant if only to see that ugly slimy toad squirm Laughing).
