Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever heard an apology for problems during commercials.

I remember YTV having to ditch a break during The Bill on one occasion, the tape had started playing at a strange speed so we were treated to a The Bil caption card (1989 generics) and some music.

I also notice that my old BBC <<<on this side Government signature thing has even reached Jenny's website. I never did get any royalities or anything.

Bit of an odd announcment just now on BBC1. A holding slide after the weather with what was on BBC1 next and what was on after that. The anno simply said:

"I didn't get where I am today without telling you what's next"

And nothing else - how odd!

Well not really, considering the programme that's on now. It was quite a funny link!

Not in context.

Comedy Connections at 10.35 is telling the story of The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin.

The line is a well known catchphrase from "CJ", the Managing Director.

Its about as witty a link as a CA could use, really.

Obviously I'm not old enough to understand...

Not that you're old or anything, of course, Gavin Wink

I'm 32, not Methuselah.

Very fine series Comedy Connections is. I enjoyed that.

I enjoyed the last series, but the latest ones seem to me to be more stories about the programmes in question rather than "connections" which used to be really clever.

I'm quite proud that I've gone through the process of locating this thread once again.

Mildly amused this evening as I watched "Britain's Best Buildings" on BBC Four to see the BBC Four DOG suddenly switch to a yellow blob wearing a bow tie, then spinning round to proudly announce that Dan Cruickshank was on Cbeebies. Couple of minutes later, the clever bloke in the gallery faded it out and faded up the BBC Four DOG.

There ya go. Woooowww.

Jennifer Turner - the poster who knows that suicide is a very good idea, but so far has been too much of a ****ing coward to actually do it, despite the fact that she lives on the same planet as marksi, a fact that would drive any sane person to the brink of suicide even without all the other **** that goes on. No wonder she's depressed with people like him around. Life is **** and shows every indication of becoming ****ter, the ****ness growing toward infinity.

Welcome to my world.
