The fact that Blue Peter will be on the CBBC Channel is not surprising, but other news that follows probably will be...

So, it's not an issue of confidentiality then?

Look, by its nature, this is a Forum about TV. I said you should expect news about BP soon because I thought people would be interested.

I really don't need 20 questions about where the information has come from or how confidential it is.

I've said what I've said and that's all I'm saying...

It feels to me as if you're getting on a high horse about this, when I was asking a perfectly straightforward question without any agenda attached.

I'm delighted you have insider news you can share with us. I think it might irritate some people if you appear to be playing too much the air of 'Mister Man of International Mystery'.

Of course not, and I'm sorry if it came across like that. But you have to understand why I can't always say everything I'd want too...

Anyway, WAY off thread.

Here we go again. Someone on this forum reveals a little information (which they did not have to do). They are then berated by people who seem to think they have a God given right to ALL the information that the original poster knows about.

They do not, for many, many reasons. It's a very childish attitude.

I was in no way berating James or stating I had a God-given right blah blah blah.

I was asking out of interest as I would expect most people to be able to work out from reading the last few posts.

Well similiarly those insiders must know that dropping even a remote snippet of information is going to create further interest and probably snowball further.

If they are not able to elaborate and then don't like the questioning that follows then perhaps it's better not to say anything in the first place. Just a suggestion.

Good rule. Right. No information posted here. Let's try that then.

Sorry - it was probably my fault for asking too many questions...

...But sometimes you can't help but see how much more information you can attempt to extract, when someone drops a hint like that!

Although we could have just left it at Aston saying that he can't say anything else about it, and most people would have been happy with that (I was - I wasn't expecting him to divulge any more info), instead of dragging out an argument about it. Just my opinion!

*REALITY CHECK*

And how much of the contributions on this board are from insiders ? This place is a thriving community with or without their contribution. So if they're going to get all uppity after giving the information then I say we can live without it.

Did anyone else chuckle at BBC One at about 18:55 yesterday (Monday)?

They cut off the poor weather man in mid flight, went to an ident and then into the Labour PPB.

However the top of the PPB was all about how bad it would be if the Tories cut public services.

I found it slightly amusing that MY public service of a weather forecast got cut off in mid stream for that PARTICULAR bit of PPB script.

11 days later

Someone at Channel 4 misspelt "Osbournes" with a Z - "Ozbournes" - in a coming up ident before tonight's Bo Selecta.

Not worth starting an entire new thread for so it can go here.

Five's Brainteaser programme was forced off the air this afternoon at just after two o'clock.

They had sound troubles, took two loads of commercials in the space of seven minutes up to two o'clock and were then taken off the air due to the sound troubles mid programme and replaced with an ep from Russell Grant's postcard series as a quick fill-in proggie.

When it became clear that they couldn't sort out whatever was wrong, Brainteaser was abandoned and out came an unscheduled history programme about castles at just before ten past two before resuming normal schedules at 2:35. Ted May couldn't apologise enough.

Still at least it proved that the programme is indeed live Smile

'Popular' programme, that Russell Grant thing is, for covering breakdowns, isn't it.

(There was a thread about it covering for a 'Live with Moyles' programme last year ISTR)

Is that all that Five have for covering breakdowns?

I suppose the Beeb equivalent would be 'Wildlife on One/Two' wouldn't it !

What do ITV / C4 use to cover breakdowns, apart from a 'Back Soon' caption ?
