Now that the voting has began for NTA 2005, I wonder who you will vote for?
I reckon the Best Daytime Slot is stupid, because GMTV is is that slot and it is hardly a daytime programme.
It's up against some stiff competition, so I hardly think it will win.

The nominees Corrie have put forward for Best Actress are poor- Kate Ford and Sally Lyndsay. Barbara Knox and Maggie Jones has been robbed again then. And Anthony Cotton for Best Newcomer? The actress who plays Violet would have been a much better choice. Im going with Lucy from Footballers Wives for that one.

I voted;

Drama - Footballers Wives
Comedy - Will and Grace
Quiz - nothing, dont like any of them
Reality - CLI was the only one I watched so I voted that (no comments please!)
Factual - Bad Lads Army
Entertainment - The X Factor
Daytime - The Paul O Grady Show
Entertainment Presenter - Paul O Grady
Actor - Ben Richards (Bruno from Footballers Wives)
Actress - Jane Danson (Leanne from Coronation Street)
Newcomer - Helen Latham (Lucy from Footballers Wives)
Serial Drama - Coronation Street

You said no comments about CLI - but that is shameful Jez! Laughing

Well I voted for Eccleston, Piper and Doctor Who, Paul O'Grady (because he is so much funnier than Ant and Dec combined) and The Two Ronnies Sketchbook for best comedy. Can't remember the others.

Similar to Jez but went for Home & Away as best SD.

Does that mean you voted CLI as well then Wink

Actually I might go for Piper for Best Actress instead as she was good.

In this weeks TV Times you can win tickets, but for some reason they only have nominations for Best Serial Drama, so you can only vote for that one via the TV Times.

I really don't class The Simpsons as a comedy at all. It's more of an adult cartoon (not XXX cartoon, but you know what I mean)

Does anyone know when the actual NTA will be shown?

An adult cartoon that happens to be a comedy. Unfortunately though there isn't a 'Most Popular Adult Cartoon' Category Rolling Eyes So 'Most Popular Comedy' will have to do.

The best newcomer is always somebody from a soap or drama. Weren't there any presenters eligible for this award? And I hope to God Top Gear wins best factual this year!!

I think it's about time Top Gear won best factual, because i believe they put a fantastic effort into their program most of the time, and they never win any accolades.

Of course i've voted for Doctor Who in all the categories in which it is represented, as i think it has been the best thing that has happened to the BBC in a long time.
