This could be moved to the Website forum but I think it's best to put it here to get a wider opinion.
Anyway, as some of you know, I am a designer at Real Verdict (currently franchised out to Christmas Sites Ltd for the Xmas period. When Real Verdict returns there will be even more sections than before, with a review of the year on TV.
This is where you come in. What was your favourite TV moment/show of 2001. Also, your most memorable TV moment of the year.
This is why I feel that it is a TV matter more than a TV Website matter.
I have noticed when something major happens, BBC World tends to boot up the last part of the BBC World News theme! it also happens from time to time, I like it when they turn up the volume of the World News theme like that!
Why bloody bother taking a risk? If you think it's going to be moved somewhere else then post is somewhere else in the bloody first place. Ugh.
Anyway, if we're talking about the World Trade Centre coverage then it's freely available on all broadcasters websites.
NBC have coverage from the Today programme, CBS from The Early Show and ABC from Good Morning America. Sky have put up their live coverage on their website. CNN's is eerie, but it's not up on CNN.com, I've seen it, not nice. Horrible. Fox is typically, um... Fox - jumping to conclusions etc.

Um... not really sure. Don't think it's very nice to talk about this but here goes.
It's just really chilling. Just before Sept 11th CNN were always using that bloody 'This is CNN Breaking News' sting, because of 'new developments' in the Chandra Levy case. You watch it and then the screen fades to black and it's 'here we go, another story about Levy' and then there's a 'live' sting and up flash these pictures of a skyscraper on fire with the newsreader saying 'This just in'. It's just creepy and you could see all of the people in the newsroom running about looking totally stunned.
I've seen all of the other's coverage, they're increadibly 'newsy'. There's no sort of display of any sort of emotion whatsoever, as if newsreader is some sort of alien person without feelings. CNN's is not like that and is much more viewer related, NBC's was similar, actually.
I'm sure I can get a transcript of the coverage for you if CNN's transcript section is still alive and well.
Have just checked, here it is:
CAROL LIN, CNN ANCHOR: This just in. You are looking at obviously a very disturbing live shot there. That is the World Trade Center, and we have unconfirmed reports this morning that a plane has crashed into one of the towers of the World Trade Center.
CNN Center right now is just beginning to work on this story, obviously calling our sources and trying to figure out exactly what happened. But clearly, something relatively devastating happening this morning there on the south end of the island Manhattan.
That is, once again, a picture of one of the towers of the World Trade Center.

There is a full transcript available on CNN.com if you want some sickening reading material.

Thanks, I might just do that (sorry, but it interests me). You actually put across quite well why it was particuarly chilling - the suddenness, and emotion.
