Hi everyone,
Obviously, all the US networks are covering this - commercial free. CNN/MSNBC/Fox News Channel are taking a lot of local NYC news coverage and these stations (NBC4, ABC7, CBS2, FOX5, WB11, UPN9). Interestingly, UPN9 are taking Fox News Channel coverage.
They're all saying that it has been an Airbus A300 - that crashed shortly after take off (NY-Santa Domingo). But you've all heard this anyway. New York's in a lock down now again.
BBC America is providing the BBC World joint-coverage.
Hopefully it's not a terrorist attack - but then again it doesn't really matter who did it - just as many people have died...

Jane Hill presented the BBC TWO News Summary at 3.20pm as Huw Edwards was co-presenting a BBC NEWS SPECIAL on BBC ONE and BBC NEWS 24 with Sarah Montague, from the studios of BBC NEWS 24.

Murdoch-owned The Times.co.uk and The Sun.co.uk are running Sky News screenshots (equipped with the 'active' DOG). The image comes originally from Fox News (another Murdoch company!)

Jane Hill presented the BBC TWO news summary from BBC National News studio . While Huw and Sarah are in the N24 studio.
