Speaking of John Mundy, I could've swore I saw him on a trailer right between North West Today and the first
showing of todays episode of Neighbours this afternoon. He was what look looked like a local radio studio, or
a continuity announcers booth, wearling headphones. Most likely to be the latter, as I'm damn sure it's him
doing the BBC North West continuity announcer before the main BBC Six O'Clock News bulletin . . .
Can't remember what he wastalking about in the trailer this afternoon though. Mind you, I though he'd
emigrated somewhere abroad after his long running stint co-hosting North West Tonight in the 1980's.
I saw that trailer too, it was before Neighbours and to be honest it was quite funny, especially the clip where the helicopter directly goes past the window. But it looked like John Mundy, but he seemed more fatter now, but I assume he ended up on Radio, considering no-one has seen him on TV for about ten years.
Yes, I believe it is John Mundy, the trailer is going out in most English regions at the moment - not sure if he does any radio shows but he does a lot of the voiceovers for BBC local radio - especially in the North West as you'd expect.
Did anyone see NWT tonight? Gordon won an award last night for his service to television, and just before they rejoined the network, they played a montage of Gordon's television career, spanning his work on Granada Reports, the Krypton Factor and North West Tonight. The hairstyles were quite amusing!!

Damn it, I missed it, hope they'll repeat it at 22.25. But I saw Granada today and they were bragging about the awards and I think they came out of it quite well, as they won four awards, while I assume the BBC only won two. But the funny thing was when I was watching it on Granada I think Peter 'Big Ears, GMTV' Berry was hosting parts of it.

I doubt they will repeat it at 2225, as it was a 'chit-chat' story between Gordon and Dianne at the end of the show - but, you never know. Apart from Gordon, the Consumer Affairs correspondent (sorry don't know her name) won an award too. Those are the only ones that were mentioned on NWT.
BTW, this Annabel Tiffin is on the 2225 again tonight - who is she, and where has she come from? I'd never seen her on the BBC before last week. She's alright actually - perhaps they could line her up for a co-presenter role on the 1830 programme, as they certainly need one. Having one presenter just seems to make the programme slow and monotonous. Either Annabel or Carol Lowe would be good.
