We produce live news bulletins most days during term time. I believe the original intention was for it to air on Channel M but of course the channel has now shut down, so now it's streamed online and shown internally within MediaCity. All the bulletins are on the YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/QuaysNews. (If it wasn't clear already I am a broadcast student at Uni of Salford)
And interestingly you use the Old Calendar theme from just before they scrapped it in favour of the generic ITV theme. Good to hear it again.
If it is available and use was agreed fees would still be owed to the licence holder.
How legal is that? Are rights required?
Music rights have always confused me. I doubt ITV are going to go out of their way to sue a little student television group but what is the theoretical legal grounds?
Quays News seems to be a programme produced by students at the Media City UK campus of the University of Salford Manchester.
