It was a good show in it's heyday and for the first few years, say until about 1996 or 1997 it was a very good show as it was entertaining and different to what had been offered before. But the problem was it was the same things were done for a long time and by this time Mr Blobby generally p*ssed the off the public and people like myself were sick of him. But the BBC reduced the budget, the show went even worse, Noel went on strike and the overall quality of it went down and the show ended on a low note. But when it was axed it still had a half decent rating of 6,000,000, something which the BBC would love to have constantly on a saturday night.

Does anyone remember the farrago over Noel Edmonds inferring he was going to gunge a real cat on Noel's House Party?

Permission for me to projectile vomit all over this horrific vision:

Noelie, why didst thou sadistically inflict Mr Blobby and 'that Christmas single' upon us? What was the motivation?

I know, or at least I thought I did! I bought the bloody thing and have regretted it ever since! The worst music purchase of my life! What the hell was I thinking of? What was I on, and was it legal?

Come on Katherine, surely you really agree it was the best £3.99 you've ever spent!

I bought it cheap (£1) & gave it my nephew.

Now he supports Man United.

Where did we go wrong ?

Not quite on topic, but for me the after-show hospitality and parties were cool, a chance to have a drink or three with guests and crew...... and get some hot showbiz gossip!

Best end of series party I attended was at the end of the 95/96 series when the party was held on the set in TC4. After the show we all went down to the green room, and after the audience rostra was packed away we were moved up to the studio where we eat, drank and danced the night away in the great house. There was the obligatory end of series video which we all giggled at, and then the disco cranked up and we danced in the Crinkly Bottom Mansion.

An unforgettable moment was when Noel took over the DJ'ing and decided to play the Mr. Bloobly record. Barry Killerby (naked Mr. Blobby) decided to throw himself about the stage sans costume. Then Noel and family decided to call it a night. He said his daughters were tired so they were all off to bed. He asked the last person to leave turn the lights out, and then they all went up the stairs to bed. How sweet!

Worse end of series party was the second to last one..... the year Noel had walked out half way through.... there almost wasn't a party, but in the end they knocked something out in TC7. (I don't remember much about the final ever party... except getting home on the train having filled my coat up with bottles of beer... hmmm)

That all sounds really cool. Proves that old men in Grampa jumpers can still have some fun! Very Happy (And by that I meant Noel and not yourself. lol)

Well, Noel MIGHT make a come back one day. Fingers crossed eh?

Noel's House Party was dated when it was axed so bringing it back would not be good thing. However the show was good at the start and decent audence share in those days.

Telly Addicts was a great show and I would like to see that back on the box.

As for Noel himself, he's a great TV presenter and it would be great to see him back on the BBC in the near future.

On the note its great to see Brucie back at the BBC too.
