Not in HD it hasn't.

It's still pretty damn good for a show over 20 years old. If every episode was uploaded in that quality I would be happy.

I think there's confusion between HD and HQ.

I thought we were talking about Noel's House Party, not Noel's HQ?

Noel Edmonds is probably just jealous of Michael McIntyre's success with The Big Show.

Here's a better way to enjoy the interview.

I guess it technically is HD, as you can upscale it to HD resolutions to take advantage of higher bitrates & 50fps playback. Though obviously it is still just upscaled SD.

You can upscale anything to 1080 lines, but the pixellated mess you get won't be HD.

Although thinking about it, wasn't the House Party one of the shows that was recorded in a type of HD as part of a BBC trial? Quite exciting if we get to see what that looked like.

Do you mean PALplus? Did the BBC actually do any of that? Thought it was just a a channel 4 thing... Could be wrong. I'm sure noggin with know...

It was one of the programmes they trialled 14:9 on to gauge public opinion on having black bars on programmes. I think they did a whole Saturday night, maybe a few.

I doubt it was shot in 16:9, they presumably just put black bars on the output
