Ah well fair play. They say the TV license is good value. If you're a one-armed Muslim lesbian.

Oh, nice, insults aimed at all sides- the disabled, homosexual and muslims, you're such a charming person.

Last year it was suggested his daytime game show Deal or No Deal could be axed – but Noel recently denied the reports, saying he’d actually just signed a new contract.

Eh?

Let's not forget this was the Noel who insisted live on BBC News that he wasn't paying his TV licence, only for the TV Licensing folks to confirm that he was.

Or the same Noel Edmonds who decided he was going to buy out the BBC and run it himself - an organisation that is probably worth only a couple of billions. Or the same Noel Edmonds who has a mannequin in the back of his car that he drives around and regularly changes its outfits. Or the same Noel Edmonds who makes David Icke look sane.

Anyway is Noel out now? I assumed he was still doing time for murdering Clive Anderson.

Odd as the video is it looks as if Noel has cottoned onto people uploading full episodes of House Party to YouTube that are proving quite popular (particularly the enterprising chap who is currently about half way through series 1!), and the businessman in him clearly thinks he could get in on this. Although to be fair he could also do that by placing a claim to the content of the existing vids and making money out of them that way.

Either way through the lottery ads and this it's been a very long time since he's sounded anything other than embarrassed by NHP so it is nice to see him celebrating it - even if there are some predictable BBC digs in there.

Anyone remember that one-off National Lottery 12th birthday show he did in 2006 on BBC1? Billed at the time as his big Saturday night comeback, lasted one ep and then he went straight to Sky. They even did an NTV during that...

Hahaha! "What's Noel up to NOW?" asks the Sunday People:

“Still bitter after all these years that House Party was axed”, wrote one Internet forum user. “I’m going to have nightmares”, joked another.

I suppose taking quotes from here is one step up from taking quotes from Twitter, that most tabloid stories seem to be based on these days.

On the topic of Deal Or No Deal, Noel said this:

Quote:
I appreciate there’s been a lot of interest in the future of Deal or No Deal particularly from those who are waiting to play and the thousands in the application process. I totally sympathize with players who are currently in ‘limbo’ hoping they will get the chance to take “The Walk of Wealth.”

Inevitably there have been tabloid journalists salivating at the prospect of running a story that Deal has been axed. Well, stand down press chums, Deal will never be axed. It may come to the end of its natural life-all game show formats do as Chris Tarrant will testify- but after 10 brilliant years and almost 3000 shows our place in the TV Hall of Fame is justified and guaranteed.

What is seldom appreciated is that Deal was always recorded in one huge chunk generally between Nov and May. I presented 288 Shows in each season, often 4 a day and frequently 17 per week-by far the most punishing schedule in British TV history. Its testimony to the professionalism of an outstanding team that the high standards of entertainment were always maintained.

May 7th 2015 we ended the last block and Channel 4 had nearly 300 shows to start scheduling in late 2015 and throughout 2016. The shows you see now are over a year old and you’re right I just get younger and younger (see the WebMag feature on the incredible EMPpad) and with scheduling breaks for various Channel 4 events and the Olympics, they take us almost to the end of the year. At this point something very special will hit your screens.

Yes, there will be more Deals but in the tradition of my long TV career we will surprise you with something very different and something I’ve always wanted to do with this extraordinary format.

I have promised Jay Hunt, Chief Creative Officer Channel 4 that my lips will remain sealed until she makes the announcement. Indeed, I have taken out an injunction to protect the secrecy, so expect to see the news on the interwebby any time now! Jay, honestly it won’t have come from me!!

It'll be interesting to see what this 'twist' is.

It's stupid s**t like "take the Walk of Wealth" that makes the whole show feel more patronising.
