A cryptic video.... (May 2016)

I've tried to find a clip on You Tube to show you what I mean, but after 10 mins and clicking on countless renditions of 'The Green Green Grass Of Home' swirling around in my eyes and ears, I've run the white flag up the pole... Confused

Might be worth having a word with DVB Cornwall he probably taped it.

They must have been producing most stuff in that format for a bit because I remember lots of widescreen shows appearing on telly in September 1998 to coincide with the launch of digital, and shows like Watchdog, HIGNFY and Buzzcocks going widescreen when they returned for their new series.

Further to this I also found a clip from Top Gear in 1998 in widescreen (I presume, as it's recorded in 14:9 from analogue).

Looking at Wikipedia this must be from series 40, 10 September - 17 December, as it was Clarkson's last series and the first to be broadcast when digital TV launched.

Can't figure out the exact episode but here's the list of them on Genome: http://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/search/0/20?adv=1&media=tv&mf=9&order=asc&q=top+gear&tf=20%3A00&thu=1&yf=1998&yt=1998#search

Interestingly I live in Woking, work in Bracknell and do have cruise control so add that to the list of things that Clarkson and I disagree about...

Back on the original subject, there's a Mr Blobby YouTube channel, but Miss B Blibbie doesn't want us to watch it

That channel has a contact email address that goes to mrblobby.tv, which has the BBC Worldwide logo on it, and another logo for Unique Television.

That website (mrblobby.tv) is registered to (and this is public information you can get from a Whois lookup so I'm not invading anybody's privacy) a Mr Will Martin at an address in Southampton.

The postcode comes back to a company called Grandad Media Ltd, which is registered at Companies House as a video production company.

Unique Television appears to be registered to an address in Cheshire and has in its history of officers at Companies House a certain Mr Noel Ernest Edmonds, though it has to be said he is not listed at the moment in any capacity at any company, not that that means anything.

That Mr Blobby channel has been around for the last six months... not totally surprised it has also ended up with a Prisilla Prim type video on it...

One thing's for sure, they either need to change Mr Blobby's eye colour or stop using green screen.

And to think he hated that thing once.

I think with the addition of his silly comments on Twitter, as well as his adamance that he is not Miss Prim, I'm more than happy to declare Noel is having a breakdown.

Having? He's had it, and is now plumbing the doldrums of the human condition.

Not suprising, Unique was Noel's company. Their name appeared on the later series of Noel's House Party and Telly Addicts (as well as the variants on the Telly Addicts format on Challenge in the early 00s). I think the "It started with Swap Shop" thing a while back was made by them too.

He's apparently going to be on This Morning tomorrow, in case anybody's curious as to what he has to say.
