Noel on Strike

And other Noel-related gubbins, by the looks of it (January 2018)

The episode they gave away the holiday to everyone came from Teddington rather than the South Bank, I never worked out if that was just a studio booking issue or whether they had more space for the coaches

The last few episodes of that series came from Teddington. I remember the series itself had to be delayed a few weeks, it was supposed to start in January but was pushed back to February at the last minute - and all the papers were gleefully reporting it was supposed to be a disaster - and I think it was just that LWT were booked up for the later episodes now they'd been rescheduled.

As well as a couple of shows from Teddington they also showed the pilot one week - I think again because they didn't have a studio that week - with Evans coming on at the start to tell us not to phone in because it was all pre-recorded. I remember one difference is that they had a phone on the set which Evans gave the number out for and the first person to get through would be the viewer at home winning the prize if it wasn't given away in the studio. Which presumably would be totally impossible to do on an actual live show.

I'm pretty sure that it was just the last episode of series 1. It's on YouTube and the voiceover mentions it, with the toothbrush skipping down the Thames

Yes they did show the pilot. The thing I remember about it was that the set and props were a lot more basic, obviously they didn't want to spend too much on bits that might not make it to the series.

It was in development hell for a while, hence the delay. It was only when they got William Green Stewart in did it all fall into place

The EuroDisney episode wasn't the last of series one - because the following week they showed footage of everything they'd done there.

And also they ran the competition for audience members for the next week's show.... the password was L.O.V.E.

Ahhh, that makes sense, the giveaway is the colour of his suit - he wore a different bright coloured suit every episode, and one made of panels of all the colours for the last.

I notice one of the Teddington shows had an item involving a helicopter taking off from the river, again something that would have been more difficult on the South Bank

Talking about the Prime Time segment, I was told something in confidence about one of them - I'll take pains to anonymise the individuals in question, but I received this testimony directly from the individual in question.

Apparently the production company and the celebrity selector in question had contacted this person on the day of the filming to say it would specifically be them, and the other two were decoys. This presumably was to ensure a compliant guest, and ensure the equipment was set up in time, which makes me wonder just how much of those kinds of segments had a hidden hand planning them?

The poke pie might been of some interest for this week.

Might have been a more interesting feature if it had been a poke pie...
Lottie Long-Legs and Hatton Cross gave kudos

Although not strictly accurate as the Gotchas originated on the Saturday Roadshow, not the House Party.
