Does anyone know if noel edmonds is planing to present another tv show apart from deal or no deal.

it would be good to see him back on bbc one on saturday nights again.
or maybe he could go to itv to present a show.

maybe if the bbc were to bring back telly addicts noel could present that.

i heard somewhere he was in talks with itv last year but i haven't heard anything since.

Well I think he has an agreement that he will present other shows on the BBC but they ca't clash with Deal Or No Deal.

i wonder when he is going to be back at the bbc then as ihe has only presented 2 programmes since returning to the bbc.

I'm not sure he should do live TV anymore, he was awful on that lottery show (I know it was a bad show in the first place). Mind you he can still make you cringe on Deal or No Deal.

Wasn't Noel's House Party live??

Yeah sorry, I forgot to include 'now' in my post, he seemed really bad on that lottery show, mainly bad jokes but I suppose the show might not have been suited to him?

Good question. I always thought it was, but if you check here...

...you will see that some of them have a recorded date a few days ahead of the broadcast date. This is just three examples out of quite a few. Does anyone know for sure? Anyone in the audience for a recording?

The majority of House Party episodes were live, they had to be because of the amount of viewer interaction involved - NTV, Number Cruncher, Grab a Grand etc. The only thing that was routinely pre-recorded was 'Wait Till I Get You Home' which I think were done several at a time (with Noel wearing the shirt that he was due to wear on the night of TX)

Some specials would have been recorded (they did one from New York for example). The recording date in Infax might be part of the programme, i.e. a guest that couldn't make it live or something to complicated to do live

And of course, who can forget when the whole thing was pulled off the air due to a bomb scare.

What surprised me was that given a bomb threat in one of the studios, pres hadn't been evacuated and was still operating. Or had Brum taken over and played out the filler programme and the all clear had been given by the time Noel Edmonds appeared in the Broom Cupboard (NC1 Con)?

AIUI the bomb threat was a while before the programme, but even though it had been cleared by the time the programme was meant to go out the disruption was too much for it to go ahead (no last minute rehearsals/setting up, no audience etc).

It is possible that presentation stayed staffed, TV Centre is a big place and various bits can be isolated. When a bomb did go off at the front of TVC a few years ago the pres areas remained fully staffed throughout. My memory of watching the event was that all programming and continuity was as normal except for a standby replacing Noels House Party itself (and the back anno from Noel)

It's a myth that 'birmingham could take over' just like that. There were no pres facilities or staff waiting there on standby. If they had have 'taken over' things wouldn't have looked so normal. It might well have been evacuated during an earlier programme which was hadn't finished by the time everyone got back in

Have a look at this....
Noel does IVC

Noel's Christmas Presents was aired instead of House Party. Noel pops up in the Broom Cupboard for some IVC before announcing a Tom and Jerry Cartoon. Not bad for a cartoon to be on prime time Saturday night!
