I'm glad they're scrapping ITV Play cos it has gone downhill but not replace it with late night bingo. Can't they just stick on some American comedy from the 1970s, a cheap film and Jermery Kyle and what about repeating Corrie?

You can either put on something that costs near enough to nothing or find a means to make money,

If you're cash-strapped ITV, you know which makes more sense and can be simulcasted on 2 other networks.

Didn't they at one point used to repeat virtually all of the daytime line up, all be it a few weeks behind, I definately remember Trisha, Des & Mel, and various gameshows/programmes that have featured, but never This Morning.

Your mention of that seems to have stirred a memory...Well, if the memory is even correct; the face/robot thing being the (virtual) quizmaster that mildly insulted the contestants if they didn't do very well? I don't think I dreamed it...

I think that was the schedule they had before ITV Play arrived.

Did anyone used to watch that Shoot the Writers? It used to be on ITV1 Thursdays around midnight (circa 2005) and was a comedy sketch show made and performed by young amateur sketch writers? A bit like The Sketch Show but cheaper. At the end of the show they'd show the clips again and the winning clip would go through to the final and the winning writer won a contract or something.

One of the guys from the show has been in TV adverts such as Think Don't Drink and Drive and Toyota Yaris.

I remember that, although I think I only saw it once or twice; not half bad for graveyard slot ITV1 compared to recent times. I remember one sketch that lasted all of 10 seconds:

Bloke #1: [Looking out of window] Looks nice outside, doesn't it?

Bloke #2: Yeah...That's why I put it there.
