Anyone see the first episode? I thought it was great - wonderfully bizarre and a little disturbing. can't wait for the rest.

Totally agree, recommend it to anyone. The start makes you think "how can this possibly be funny", but then it gets better and better through the half hour. Another viciously dark comedy from BBC3- top marks once more. Like the lack of laughter track as well.

Next episode Tues: 22:30 BBC Three

Nighty night? That's how me and a mate always sign off our texts. At night of course. A really interesting fact for you there.

I just hope Stuart Murphy knows what he's doing with the new BBC3 line up. It better be good since he's axing Liquid News.

Not sure about Nighty Night yet, but I did see the first episode twice and enjoyed it much more the second time ... I'll stick with it for the time being ...

i think its fantastic and such a stong cast. Felicity Montague from alan partridge was brilliant and some of the jokes were so spot on! 9/10 because nothings perfect!

I think the general rule is, if Kevin Eldon's in it, it's good!

Quite enjoyed the first one, but I get the feeling it'll get better over the next few episodes. Nice to see Angus Deyton go back to acting, too.

If you like Julia Davis' work, she's also in the Alan Clark Diaries with John Hurt on BBC Four.

hello,

first time I've been back to this thread since starting it - good to see there's a few Nighty Night fans!

I thought last week's was superb, but the one before was a little weak.

Not sure how many more there are to go, so I won't miss tomorrow''s episode - this series really is one of the few 'simply cannot miss' programmes I've experienced for a long time.

Just superb.

And where's Monkey Dust gone? I was REALLY getting into that.

I think it's the last one tomorrow.

Monkey Dust is being shown late at night - repeats obviously, but maybe ones you haven't seen.

Yep, episode 6 of 6 is on tonight at 10:30pm- I'm hoping for a controversial finish....I really love this program, but see it getting huge nos. of complaints when it airs on BBC2 (Popetown may not be broadcast ever and people haven't even seen an episode of that).

As far as Monkey Dust goes- there have been two series of 6 episodes each....a third series hasn't been commisioned yet, but I believe Stuart Murphy has described it as one of the foundations of the first year of BBC Three, which makes me think it's just a matter of time.

Ok - last one tonight then; I'll make the most of it!
Yes, I can see many viewers complaining in a narrow-minded way about the use of a handicapped character as a focus of advantage-taking by Jill ... maybe they should watch a bit longer and think before they start writing :
'Dear BBC, I was horrified to see ... blah blah ...."

Also, some blindingly good use of powerful classic songs in the show - eg Heart 'Alone' and Marillion. (sp?}

As for Monkey Dust - sounds good; looking forward to more and I'll scan the listings for any episodes I've missed, of which there are quite a few.

One of the good things about BBC Three, is that if you've missed something when it's first shown, you're pretty much guaranteed to catch it at some other time in the week if you check every night! Some people say there are too many repeats, but in my opinion it can be very advantageous. This was how I managed to catch every episode of Little Britain!

Yes, I was getting quite good at scanning the night-time schedules, but then the African Week (or something) seemed to throw all that into confusion.
