I have always wondered out of curiosity, does anyone know what sort of ratings programmes on ITV Nighttime get? Especially in the dead of night at 3am? Also, does ITV Nightscreen actually get any viewers? Or is it just used to count as a programme so they have more time to average that 13-minute ad rule?

can I ask, if anyone knows the viewers for BBC news 24 on BBC1?

It'll probably register as Zero much of the time, because of the way ratings are measured.

Talking of ITV Nightscreen, I see it's had a bit of a makeover recently.

That's typically something you'd watch when you're up late or if you can't sleep, so I think that might actually pull in some viewers.

Well I think you'd be surprised how many people are around at night -- I know we have the tv on in work.

ITV nightscreen and N24 are primetime viewing [mind you I don't know how they measure things at night].

The programme pages on nightscreen are nicer but the subject slides and that moon thing are quite awful.

I don't like it myself, a bit too dark plus they only had the previous blue look about a year!

Anyway some more pics from Nightscreen....

You've just got to love the 'Programme Times may vary in Your Region' tag.

Still have some Nightscreen on Video from a few years ago when Night Time was still part Regional, as Carlton/LWT, Central, Granada, Yorkshire, Border, Tyne Tees and UTV had one service, where as HTV, Westcountry, Meridian and Channel had their own with Scottish and Grampian being seperate, though the thing that was special as they had the listings for these services and their respective logos shown onscreen.

Nightscreen registers as 100,000 viewers and News 24 as 200,000. The total number of people watching television at that time is about 700,000.

Thanks for that.

It's unbeliveable that 100,000 can sit for two hours watching Powerpoint slides, even if they have jazzed them up a bit. That must be 100,000 too stoned/out of it to change channel after Entertainment Now!
