Well this was inevitable. It can only be good for ITV1 IMO.

Nigel's replacement is already there - he's called Simon Shaps, that's why Nigel's leaving. Not literally perhaps, not job title for job title, but close enough.

With three super-commissioners, covering Daytime and Factual, Drama and Entertainment reporting to him replacing Nigel.

A shame. I thought Pickard was good for ITV, he put a lot of tired and failing shows out of their misery.
