Even Teletext has been slightly mocking of Celebrity Love Island. A feature for TV Plus questioned why ITV has stood by the show while axing Fat Families; and the conclusion they reached was that it cost £15 million to make.

Money which could otherwise have been ploughed into existing shows or new comedy. Thank you Paul Danan. Evil or Very Mad

To be honest, I don't think there's much I watch on ITV1 now apart from Emmerdale, Corrie and The Paul O'Grady Show. Rolling Eyes

Surely it comes as no surprise to you that this programme is coming back?

You see ITV logic works like this, if all four of their f**kwit viewers all tune in at once they think they have a runaway hit on their hands, so hey presto Celebrity Traffic Island is back on the Network for another series.

At this rate ITV schedule will look like this:

1900 Emmerdale: Scott's affair with Ashley is announced in a packed Woolpack. Betty drops a stitch in her knitting and Jack buys a new cloth cap.

2000 Coronation Street: Shelley chips a nail whilst pulling a pint, Audrey passes wind in the Salon and wartime bomb explodes for no particular reason.

2130 Celebrity Traffic Island: Can Neil Fox make it across the road?

2230 ITV Snooze.

2300 Tonight with Fern Britton: What can the government do for people who can't survive the day without watching endless hours of reality TV?
