Adieu, Nigel. You left us with a lot of good stuff to remember you with. May you now join with Paul Eddington and entertain Heaven in a way only you and he know how to! Heaven will be proud to have a man like you in its midst!
*gasps* That's a great shame, but I suppose it's always a shock to realise how old that generation of famous actors are becoming. When you see someone on screen so often, I think you assume they will live forever. I hope it was peaceful.

They'll probably show 'Yes Minister' as a tribute as 'The Madness of King George' was only on a few weeks back!
Just looking throught the Radio Times and they are showing a 'Tribute night' to another one of our late, great actors Dirk Bogarde. It's on tonight at 9-11.15 followed by the sadistic 'The Night Porter'.
Hey, it's posting a link, but frankly for once I don't care. If anyone is interested in an intelligent TV series (lets hope the word filter doesn't put *s in to replace those three words appearing together) - the finest comedy ever made - , the site www.yes-minister.com pays tribute, and you can download audio samples of Hawthorne (Appleby) at his best.
Rest In Peace.

I watched 'Demolition Man' on one of SKY's many movie channels, the other night, & he was one of the villians in that.

According to the 'Mirror', NH hated the film !!
Yeah, he said that the original film script was far more intelligent, and the re-drafts ruined it.
