Everytime one of these programs came on, it was proceeded by a Nicktoons frontcap in the early years of Nick UK, which i still have a clip of, albeit a bit chopped because the poor video quality, but here we go, this example being from 1994:

Wow, I remember that one! It was still being used as late as 1999...

Yeah so do I. I never liked the music in it. Thought it was too cheesy!

Indeed and both those clips above I would say were american. In the early days and possibly now I don't know, you could tell that some of the presentation was home grown and some of the more off the wall strange stings and graphics were direct imports. Kids with american accents on some stings were often a give away!

They did use that Nicktoons sting for years as a frontcap. Mainly in the days when there only was half a dozen Nicktoons, unlike now when lots of other new ones were made

Are any Nickelodeon programs actually made in the UK?

In Spain, they use the full 'Nickelodeon' logo.

The Renford Rejects was an original Nickelodeon production, they have bought a few UK kids programmes, mainly ITV, mainly The Worst Witch (The series was made by UNM/HTV where as the one-off 1980's film was made by Central) and My Parents are Aliens.

But it was nothing special, only noteworthy for its featuring of certain football stars from a certain 1966 World Cup Final and a string of other famous footballers.

Nick UK don't seem to like making much of their own material now, preferring imports from their american counterparts, hand-me-downs from ITV (since they'll probably end up doing the CiTV service I reckon) and the odd Australian programme.

Did Nick UK ever make any of their own stuff though? Apart from Redford Rejects, what else has there been? Even the commercial break cartoons like "Inside-out boy" were either from the American Nickelodeon or from somewhere completely different. Infact I seem to remember one called "El Hombre" which wasn't even in English.

They made LOL in 2002 which was a sketch show, and was actually quite good. A second series was never made though, but one of the stars (Joe Swash) turned up in EastEnders.

And then of course there were things like that quiz with Alex Sibley (from Big Brother 3) and Yolly, and the N List (Nick's chart).

I remember when in-vision continuity was introduced, didn't they bring in a different group of kids into the studio every week or something like that?

INV seems to have stopped now, though.

A different group every day.
In vision hasn't stopped, it's just that it now happens in the morning instead of the afternoon.
When looking at the childrens channels they found that there was room to sell a studio based programme in the morning rather than in the afternoon and up against CiTV, CBBC, the CBBC Channel and Studio Disney.

They tried something out in half term, but that was rubbish in comparison to the Crunch, which is a good alternative, it reminds me in some ways to the big breakfast.

The half-term in-vision sections weren't as good, even the last days of in-vision around 2004 was poor. If you ask me, the INV from 1996 seemed much better.
