Bill replacing George on the Six. That's quite interesting. I would never have thought he would be his replacement. I do like him though.

Did you get a special CA for the Six? We got a very very cheery one Very Happy followed by LDN headlines Rolling Eyes

Here in the East the CA said "This is BBC One in the East, Now the news with Sophie Raworth, Bill Turnbull, and Stuart White................This is BBC One In......."

I wondered why it was starting a second time. Maybe its an archive of announcements and the next one began.

"This is BBC One In The Midlands, Now the Six O Clock News followed In Half an Hour by Midlands Today with Susan Virdee."

The National News Set makes Bill look much older than on Breakfast.

Also note the cheesy Iraq Briefing Titles on Plasma.

"This is BBC One in the West. Now the news with Sophie Raworth, Bill Turnbull and Susan Osman."

Not sure about Bill on National News. Confused Wander if he's the permanent replacement for George or if its Darren but he was unavailable today.

Also, does anybody know if George was supposed to be on today, I think he probably was, if so then he's probably got the flu bug circulating the BBC at the moment.

You should be able to watch the Six online at news.bbc.co.uk.

Just watched the BBCi clip of Anna loosing her voice. She really did try to keep talking which was probably very painfull. Still she is a natural and very experienced newsreader and was very professional about it.

Well up until 1991 ITN would have a dual presenter format on News At Ten.

Not sure if on any occasion they would swop half way
