Like Newsnight are Breakfast with Frost, On the Record, Question Time are they made by BBC News or just plain BBC? I wonder what these would look like in coporate form.

I'm remember someone said once that Newsnight wasn't corporate as it isn't produced by BBC News. Is this true?

If so, why does Michael Beurk always say at the end of the 10 that 'Newsnight is starting now on BBC Two'.

Is it produced by BBC News?

Newsnight isn't credited to BBC News - it is simply a BBC production. At least that's what it is on screen. And Michael Buerk promoting it doesn't mean anything - I'm sure he could tell you EastEnders was on tomorrow night at 8.00 if he wanted! (OK, maybe not, but you get my point!)

As for Newsround. Newsround wouldn't go corporate, because it is not a BBC News production. It is produced by BBC Childrens', although the resources are hired from BBC News Resources. So technically, Newsound has nowt to do with BBC News. Anyway, would they really be bothered making it corporate?!

Jamez (apparently) had the full, clean, official Newsnight music - that's he said, but I never saw anything about it. I wonder if Isonstine knows about that?

Newsnight used to be specifically credited to 'BBC News and Current Affairs' and I'm pretty sure it is still made by BBC News even if it is no longer credited as such.

But Newsnight is a News Review, it's a very different programme to any of BBC News' other output, so I feel it should be left out of the corporate look.

I'm surprised Newsround didn't go corporate on it's relaunch.  That would have ben really easy to do...

Ah but you see Newsround is a program that is DEFINATLY not produced by BBC News, rather it uses reports taken from it or it just produces it's own from CBBC.

But Newsround reports do appear on BBC News. The last one I saw was Matthew Price in Afghaniland talking about fathers having to sell their daughters for marriage!

Newsound is BBC Childrens' - they use reports and resources from BBC News Resources. Are you sure that report wasn't produced by BBC News and used on Newsround?

Nah, I'm sure he signed off on NR Matthew Price for Newsround or something like that and for the BBC News variant 'Matthew Price, BBC News'.

It was definitely shown on NR first then BBC News. I know this for a fact as I had News 24 on all day and switched the TV over for some reason and caught the report, then about an hour later Jane Hill was linking to it.

I'm not too sure about that case then. But it is definitely the case that Newsround is not made by BBC News. I suppose they must share reports or something.
