NEWSNIGHT

How come newsnight has not gone BBC NEWS corporate. Will it ever change to fit in with the generic look. The current look of newsnight is a bit boring as the set is just a drapped curtain with plasma screens. What do you think????

yeah i have answered it but they can make variations e.g. regional news is fresher looking and feels faster than the main bulletins.

I imagine that Newsnight would go for a dark blue or a purple variation if they did, probably similar in ways to Breakfast.

NEWSNIGHT would need something very authorative as most who watch it would be very serious about there news. A nice blue and prple would go well with a little bit of china red but it needs to be distinctive in its own way. Perhaps dont have the same newsdesk as all the other news studios. I think it should have a window like breakfast behind the presenter but with purple and blue lights shining behind the window and flowers like on breakfast drapped down it.

actually no china red would be better and a bit different

purple lights, blue carpet, creme walls with purple lights at the top not white ones. A huge glass brick window with the lights shining through like breakfast but a bigger window, flowers drapped across the window and plasma screens with the logo. The main news desk being completly wood like the itv news desk. chairs the same as news 24.

I also think a presenter change is in order e.g.

Monday = Jeremy vine
Tuesday = Sarah montague
Wednesday = Jeremy vine
Thursday = Sarah montague
Friday = Jeremy paxman (newsnight just wouldnt be newsnight without him).
I also think newsnight should be on, on a saturday perhaps on news 24 instead of bbc two for saturdays. a good presenter for saturdays would be Chris eakin. It could be shown from 23.00 - 00.00 on news 24 instead of the normal hour of news with chris and gwenan.

Chris Eakin has got to be on during when we change from BST to GMT because we'll all have an EXTRA HOUR! Blimey! It really will be BBC News 25. Cor!

Apparently, the BEEB were planning to give Newsnight the corporate look at the same time Breakfast was launched, but for whatever reason didn't. I think this was the time the weather department got a new look as well.
