I'm probably going to stick my neck out here but I think the music used during the flags era of News 24 was fantastic!

The way that news music is going nowadays.the really is no future for it. It`s quite clear that most news channels/programmes seem to copy each other in styles, etc.

The groovy Central News (West) theme circa 1997 (can anyone confirm?), when they had the multicolored look which initially involved Central's long running 'cake' logo, but this was adapted to squares when the station lost it's 'cake' in favour of the Carltonised logo (CENTRAL).

Snu, J2k very kindly sent me a clean version of the Sky News music, very good it is too. Also, I've got the old News at Ten ending if you want it.

I've always liked Channel 4 News, but I think I'm going to have to say NBC News, especially their Decision 2000 music. Fantastic.

CNBC US have some excellent music too. As do Bloomberg. Far better than any of the stuff that BBC News, Sky News and ITN use for their bulletins.

TF1 has always sounded crap. LCI (La Chaîne Info), which is TF1's news channel and France's equivalent of Sky News, sounds crap but looks rather impressive. Some good programming on there too and they have the best desk I've ever seen.

LCP, (La Chaîne Politique), has graphics which are worryingly similar to Sky's new look. They look a lot better though.

Buzz, where's this Channel 7 News theme? I've always liked Australian idents, but have never actually seen 7 News. 'National Nine News', and Eight for that matter, look and sound awful.

Best news theme ever? Nine O'Clock News 1985-88, the one with the flying fish fingers in the titles.

Best news theme currently? BBC London News of course!
