This was the best News at Ten set.  The studio used at present just doesn't compare, it's too bright, and lacks authority.  I loved the way the camera zoomed into the building, into the newsroom and to the News at Ten studio during the credits.  The set wasLet's lobby ITV for its return.

Aerial view of ITN Headquarters, looks more like Gotham City !!

Yeah, I liked the old set and hoped they'd bring it back as a breakaway from the normal too bright one but sadly not.

When were these opening titles used? The only ones I can really remember were the ones used at the end.

News at Ten is something which totally confuses me.
Whilst it was at one point in time the height of news broadcasting, it was the best news programme in the world, this was even said by BBC News directors.
And... when it was axed there was a public outcry.
Yet if the demand for News at Ten was so great why is it that figures for all of the news channels, (Sky especially as they mounted a huge advertising campaign and introduced a specially branded programme), are so low?
It simply does not follow logic, there is a great demand for something, it is offered to 1/3 of the popultion yet very few take the offer up... why?
My personaly view is that people will only watch news if it is thrust upon them, like is done on the main channels.
I seriously doubt whether that many people actually go out of their way to watch the news.
The best opening titles for News at Ten were those in 1991, during the Gulf War.
They were excellent.

The exciting titles were used at the start during the end of the 1980s - it had us (the viewer) flying down the Thames to the studio. I think they were on either TV-Ark or TV World.

Yes it was definetly during the 90's .  Put pictures up by using the img command. Look at Help above, then view Ikoncode tags, tells you how to use them.

Here's another pic, there must be 20+ screens in that studio, and that desk is fantastic. I love how it goes around the presenter. And oh to be sat in that chair !!
Sorry, getting over excited now.

Yep, sorry.
I was just remembering two intros that I've got from one of the many TV download type sites out there. These images in this thread are indeed from the file I've got called '1990s'. I was referring to the intro where they fly in from space, across London, down the Thames, and into Big Ben. This is from a file I've got called '1980s'!

Well whilst we are on the subject of buildings.. can you guess the HQ of this company? Or at least one of its channels (that is a rather massive hint).

Notice I have deleted the massive logo stuck on the front of part of the building.. my graphical capabilities never cease to amaze even myself.
