So today was Mike Embley's last Newsroom South East! He just said thanks for the last four-and-a-half years and that he was off to News 24. Wonder if he'll be getting a regular slot there or he'll be staying as a fill-in presenter.

They didn't bother updating the titles when Oxfordshire left, so I highly doubt they'll change theml this time.

And yes, I thought South East Today was starting on 3rd September.

I suspect that NSE didn't bother to remove Oxfordshire from the shape of the region cuz they knew that any such revised titles would only be used for a comparatively short time.

I have every confidence that SEToday's titles will just show Kent/East Sussex, and London Live's (or whatever) titles will show just Greater London and the Home Counties.

There was a trailer for the new service after the Six o Clock News today, saying that South East Today is starting soon. At the end it showed a section of the new title sequence with map of the area etc.

Was this on BBC ONE South, or on BBC South East in the Kent area? I was watching Newsroom South East tonight and the only trailer I saw was for BBC London Live 94.9.

I am in Kent, in the South East region, so the trailer must have only gone out in the new area, which makes sense really.

Well actually I have a trailer saying that Oxfordshire will be moving to South Today soon. This was seen in London.

I have that on video too, so I didn't think BBC South East had the ability to show different things in different parts of their region - bu obviously they do now!

Sounds like Tunbridge Wells are now able to opt-out of their 'Network' feed to split trail South East Today to the target patch (though possibly some relays may not have been re-targetted to the correct transmitters yet...)

I think Oxford was a more difficult set-up to arrange this split trail for, as the transmitter re-routing for the final service meant Oxford switching regions (from Elstree to So'ton). In the end this meant that Elstree played the trail to everyone...

BBC Cambridge split-trailed before they launched, so they could promote the sub-opt prior to launch. (I still have a copy of the trail! Amanda wandering roung the 'sights' of the West... Oh and a shot of the gallery... Which has since grown a little!)

No 3rd September. They are just piloting at the moment.

Question: Has the South east been split in to three different regions or three regional news progarmmes.

BBC Cambridge - South Today
BBC London - London Live (TBC)
BBC South East - South East Today

So will the CA say 'this is BBC1 in the South East' or will they say 'This is BBC1 in [London] [Cambrige] [South East]'
I hope I make sence.
