Arrow "The BBC fell off air earlier this evening...."

Hmm....the BBC falling off air. It must have hurt! Laughing

And it never is that whole of the BBC either, in fact usually it's just news

Arrow Sheer weight of traffic

Just very annoying, it's notthe weight of traffic that's slowing it down it's the amount of traffic.... and it's not sheer either.

As far as I know, the term "community leader" could encompass local politicians, religious figures, senior police officers, headteachers - the list could go on. I agree, though, that the term is too vague, and ought not to be used.

Probably already been mentioned, but...

Arrow "The BBC has learned that [insert actual story here]"

What's this story about? The BBC learning something, or the actual news story that follows!?

Also, Gordon's signoff is like he's never going to see us again: "That's all this lunchtime, I do hope, if you have the time, that you can join us for North West Tonight at 6.30. In the meantime, whatever you're doing, have a wonderful afternoon; bye-bye, bye, bye-bye." I'm not exaggerating the bye-bye's either - he says it umpteen times until the director gets fed up and cuts to the aerial shot!

What annoys me is the way that after an intersting story on Midlands Today, Nick rests on the table whilst both he and Suzanne say "Mmmmmmmm . . . .".

What's all that about? Do they genuinely find the story interesting or have they got some choccie bars hidden uner the desk? Rolling Eyes
