Never seen this before, but it would appear that all the major network news companies in America (NBC Nightly News, CBS Evening News etc) and some of the cable news Networks roll long lists of credits to end the year and pay tribute to those who keep them on the air throughout. I've just seen it on MSNBC and thought it was a nice sentiment.

I don't know about you, but I think its a nice touch and could be used on news programmes over here.

What do you think, a nice touch or just self-indulgent?

Newsround do it on their review of the year, but I've yet to see a major network do it. Though I've only seen major networks do news reviews of the year on their channels.

I think that idea is nice, as all of the people working behind the scenes hardly, if ever, get a mention - it's usually just the presenters that get the thanks.

Westcountry Live used to do it on the last main edition of the year. Not sure if they still do after the latest rebrand (I know they're not exactly a major news network !)
