Jon Kay was attached to News 24 as a correspondent for a while, but returned to Bristol, where he works on Points West currently I think.
He has presented the odd shift on News 24 I seem to remember.
Alistair Yates did present quite a few News 24/World joint overnights prior to leaving for DW. I understand Alistair is returning to live in the UK, and is thus leaving DW.

I am a terrible insomniac. I probably haven't helped myself tonight, I've just had two black coffees... not wise.
BBC World Service is actually (in a non-offensive) way a really nice thing to fall asleep to. It's on Radio 4 post midnight.
It's very soothing and mellow and without too many noisy jingles.
Five Live is a really good station for overnight programmes. 'Up All Night' is really well produced, I just wish there wasn't so much of a slant on American news. It seems to neglect the fact that Asia is waking up when it goes to air and only concentrates on America going to bed. Still, better than nothing.
Just when is Five Live getting new jingles? Am sick of these **** ty ones at the moment. The old ones were vastly better.
And I am still desperate for that old Five Live jingle... please... anyone...

Guys, Alistair Yates is at DW-TV in Berlin now, doing their English edition of the Journal.
He better not be poached back to BBC World though--otherwise I'll never be able to see him again on American TV! He is a wonderful presenter!

On the subject of DW-TV, does anyone have a clue when the hell it's going t get a re-vamp. If it gets go may viewers (yes I do tend to watch it sometimes as it is only 1 channel up from BBC World on my sat system) why don't they pour a little investment into the studio as it has been the same for about 4 years!!

That's the main news studio - a bit Sky News inspired with that newsroom glass image, but wow, what a desk!
The rest of the studios all have a French theme, with the tricolour being the main colour scheme.
