Sources suggest the tree is the one from the Breakfast studio transplanted into News 24.
Also sources suggest that it will not be taken off overnight, instead tight shots will be used to keep it out of view of World viewers apart from the brief shot at the top of the hour!

They could even eliminate that shot at the top of the hour if they really wanted to - they could cut from the titles to Cam 2 I think it is, they sometimes do this anyway for some reason.

They could that I suppose, but World viewers will find it a bit odd, since they always get the studio shot at the beginning during full bulletins.

Looks a bit thin.

But seriously, well done to the BBC. At least they're bothering to take note of public opinion - suppose they have to really, considering we pay for them - and are changing things accordingly.

I'm a bit surprised Sky haven't bothered this year, unless they're planning to put one up tomorrow - they might, actually, after seeing the BBC have done it. The only reason I can think of is that the tree would really badly obscure the newswall and so wouldn't really work.

Sky Sports News looks great! They've got a really 'Christmassy' look to the studio.

It is from the Breakfast studio, I could tell that much. I'm glad they've done it. If only they did it on the national news on 1.

Excellent - well done News 24! Is this the first year they've decided to do it? Someone made a good decision there....

Yeah, I can't remember anything they did last Christmas...

**** ing hell, Ryan. I'm not intending this to turn into yet another argument of your doing but please make your New Year's Resolution to post something that is likely to interest the other members of this forum.

For god knows how many months we've all had to put up with totally pointless comments.

Who gives a **** whether you remember what they did last Christmas? We've already bloody established that they didn't do anything, why bother?!

Just think before you post something. Consider whether what you're posting is going to be of any interest to anyone else. I seriously doubt out of the 600 odd forum members on here, 1 of them actually gives a stuff about you not being able to remember what News 24 did last Christmas.

For the sake of everyone on here... put some thought into what you do, and stop subjecting us to this constant barrage of pointless information.

Yes I know that, I was just being Sarcastic as I had a bit of a go a while back after our good friend changed it.

Don't know why really!

I am only a temporary being.

This updated forum does not like my @ sign and so for the time being I'll be cheshirec, when technology decides to like me again I'll be c@t.

The branding wizards have been doing their tricks and I am soon to have a fragrance named after me.

Oh dear, well it is only a pre-release version so I suppose some of us older formumers will welcome the name change.

It's good to see it on screen agian!
