if you were to ask Gary and Sharon from Dagenham what news service they trusted most, they would likely name the service they watch the most, rather than formulating an opinion based upon actual news agendas.

Got any proof to back this opinion up, or are you offering opinion as fact again ...?

The hole in your arguement is why would anyone watch a news service they don't trust, so of course they're going to name the one they watch.

Jeez ... you people put faith in viewing figures, but can't trust a simple opinion survey.

well thats sky's fault for not buying their own anologue channel isn't it.

I notice News 24 has been using the second set a hell of a lot recently, nearly every back half hour, for various items including aerial photography and the labour govt record.

I notced that aswell. Looks nicer although I wish the screens were flush with the wall as it looks a right mess when you compare it to Liquid/60 Seconds.

I dunno If anyone else has noticed this, but the clock on N24 now seems to have a black line on the Bottom and Left of it. It looks like they've had this 'ticker' in place and then cut everything out apart from the clock.

It's not so noticeable on my TV but my PC shows it up quite a bit.

The last thing N24 needs is a ticker... I'll only be ending up reading out what it says for my gran. That's why we don't watch ITV NC.

Please no ticker in that dreadful dark red colour.

As I mentioned before the kit for the ticker is in use and it is being used for the clock.

For 2002:

Quote:
- Breakfast averaged nearly 1 million.
- The BBC One O'Clock News averaged 2.7 million.
- The BBC Six O'Clock News averaged 5.1 million.
- The BBC Ten O'Clock News averaged 4.8 million.

BBC Press Office.

I'm sure BBC does better on the ten o clock news, and ITV on the evening and lunchtime programmes - does anyone have the ITV figures?

If you read the BBC anual report (not the most un-bias of reports I must say this year) it showed that the figures are true. The BBC easily beats ITV at lunchtime, I think it is something like 4.7m to 5.1m at 6 and easily won at 10.

The clock is no longer in line with the name straps, and also I saw a coming up message at the top of the screen...

The 'Coming Up' slide-in thingy at the top left has been in use for some time... It's used throughout the day, and displays different icons for business, sport and weather. Just so you know.

That clock has been getting changes a lot quite recently. And the black line on the bottom of it seems to be bigger today than it has been.
